ADOT Tribal Consultation Policy Update
The AZ Department of Transportation (ADOT) requests tribal input on the updated Department-Wide Native Nation/Tribal Government Consultation Policy (MGT-16.01). The policy was last updated on March 21, 2021. The ADOT Tribal Relations Team has completed a draft update which has recently completed internal review, and a formal invitation for tribal consultation was sent on June 12, 2026.
To obtain feedback on the updated draft policy, ADOT will host two informational virtual meetings on July 22 at 10 AM (MST) and July 23 at 2 PM (MST). These meetings will provide a summary of updates and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions regarding the draft policy. We invite tribal leaders and staff to attend one or both meetings, each of which will offer the same information.
