USDOT Announces More than $21 Million in Grants to Improve Road Safety on Tribal Lands

On March 19, 2026, the USDOT announced that more than $21 million in 2025 Tribal Transportation Program Safety Funds have been awarded for 84 projects to 61 Tribes in 13 states. Four projects were awarded to three tribes in Arizona. These projects are funded to reduce roadway fatalities and serious injuries on Native American and Alaska Native lands.
